Inaugural [INSTRUMENTAL]

from The Ilusen's Fallacy [INSTRUMENTAL] by Keegan Ostrowski

/

about

Inaugural serves as a "hidden" intro which plays at the start of the album, but isn't part of any of the official songs, meant to fool the listener into believing they're listening to something much more Lo-Fi than the album provides.

Starting with a low quality folk intro played on a 7-string acoustic guitar, the song begins with very simple chords until it graduates into a very intense and high fidelity medieval intro, with the thick tone the rest of the album has to offer.

After a dramatic break, the folk turns heavier, with aggressive riffs and strengthened melodies, as the song unfolds into something much more diverse, turning to a progressive jazz in 5/4 triplets, then a theme that recurs later in the album in 7/8, then finally ending with a few symphonic strikes at the end of the song to show Keegan is dead serious about what he writes.
